How long does it take to make a modular home?
Our process of making a modular home takes three steps. First, a modular home with two units can be finished in our factory in a few weeks, which includes the trim, flooring, ect. Second, the modular home must be transported to your property, as coordinated with your local builder. And here’s the final step: your local builder will be able to finish the last minute touches (hook-ups, electrical work, ect). Although site preparation can vary according to the structure you are on, within a few weeks after your modular home is set on a foundation, you should be able to move in! What is the difference between modular and manufactured homes?
Modular homes are built according to local and state building codes, while manufactured homes adhere to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Manufactured homes give you the opportunity to relocate to another property, but modular homes must stay on the original foundation and property in which they were placed.
Are modular homes the same as manufactured homes?
No, they are not. While modular homes are crafted in a factory in two or more pieces and assembled on your property, manufactured homes are delivered in one completed piece.
